Suzie Pearson

With a day job that doesn't allow a huge amount of creative thought, I turned to poetry a few years ago after celebrating a significant birthday. My inspiration is pretty much anything that sparks an idea – nothing is off limits. I’ve written about trees, insects, elastic bands, arcade machines, floating balls.

You get the idea.

Along the way, I’ve had a modicum of success with a couple of poems in print and featured online as well as a couple of commended poems in local competitions.

I've even had a go at a couple of poetry slams. I crashed out in round one both times, but there's a saying about 'the taking part that counts', isn't there?

You can find me on Instagram @wordsfromanotebook if that's your thing or I tend to keep my website pretty up to date - www.wordsfromanotebook.com

I’m mostly found with a mug of tea in one hand and one of my many fountain pens in the other.
